Message from APRI Seattle President

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our dear sister, Mrs. Verlene Jones  Davis born October 6, 1954, transitioned from this life on September 22, 2018  to be with our Lord and Savior.

Verlene was an amazing wife, mother, civil rights activist, community leader, mentor and friend. She joined APRI in 1990 and served as President of APRI Seattle Chapter for 22 years from 1992 - 2014. She taught all of us who served under her leadership so much and she inspired us all to be better people and greater leaders in our communities. We... her APRI family like so many others will forever love her dearly. And we'll miss her greatly.

Also speaking on be half of her husband James Davis he says, "thank you to all who sent your prayers and best wishes and showed Verlene and their family continued love and support throughout her battle with cancer.... Thank you. Thank you. Thank you."
